Sasural was directed by T. Prakash Rao and produced by L.V. Prasad. This movie stars Rajendra Kumar, B. Saroja Devi, Mehmood, and Lalita Pawar. This was a Hindi movie which was a remake of Telugu film “Illarikam” (1959).

This movie revolves around Shekhar who was living a modest life with his family but Later it turned after he got married to Bela. This movie shows misunderstandings and family conflicts. The film’s music, composed by Shankar–Jaikishan, features songs penned by Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra.
Mohammed Raif had received Film-fare Best Male Playback Award for singing "Teri Pyari Pyari Surat ko”.
