Don was directed by Chandra Barot from a story written by Salim–Javed. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman and pran. It was one of the best films of Amitabh Bachchan.  It was produced by Nariman Irani. This was the third highest grossing Indian film in the year 1978 and it has various remakes as well. Amitabh Bachchan played dualrole in this movie.

This movie is  about a look-alike, Vijay, who impersonates a crime boss to help the police but gets caught in a web of deception when the only officer who knows his true identity dies. Vijay struggles to prove his innocence as he faces threats from the gang and the police. The film is notable for its music and Amitabh Bachchan’s dual role. Songs are composed by the duo Kalyanji–Anandji,  lyrics were  written by Anjaan and Indeevar.

This movie has also got awards for Best Actor, Best male comeback singer and Best female comeback singer and has also got nominated for Best music director and best Lyricist.
