This movie plot revolves around a love triangle between Neena, played by Nargis, Dilip, played by Dilip Kumar, and Rajan, played by Raj Kapoor. It is a perfect example of the melodramatic style of storytelling in ancient India. In this movie Naushad has composed melodious songs and Majrooh Sultanpuri has written the songs for this movie.
